Story Maps for Esri
A selection of projects I've worked on as a multimedia journalist for Story Maps at Esri.

It was also my first foray into the world of ArcGIS, which is what I used to create the interactive maps. I created the small multiples charts using Adobe Illustrator, and wrote all the copy as well. The story was assembled using the Story Maps Cascade template.
For best results, view this in a new tab. In preparation for the 2018 Olympics, my colleague and I created this story using the Story Maps Cascade template. I created the medal podiums and static charts using Adobe Illustrator. I also took the lead on outlining researching, writing, and editing the story, while my colleague produce the maps and interactive charts.
For best results, view this in a new tab. My colleague and I created this story showcasing the 21 new sites added to UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites in 2017. I determined the story structure and flow, collected all the assets from UNESCO, designed the graphics, and built the story using the Story Map Journal template.
For best results, view this in a new tab. I assisted my colleague with this reporting on the realities of public transit in Washington DC. I followed two residents on their daily commutes, filmed B-roll and interviews, and edited these into five small vignettes using Adobe Premiere and After Effects. I was also the principal editor for the story.
